Genres

Electronic music is an art form that constantly evolves and splinters into new territories, making it impossible to map completely. The genres featured here represent different approaches to the same mission of using technology to create sounds for both the body and the mind. Each one offers a distinct language for electronic expression, from the raw, punk energy of acid and the rhythmic foundation of hip-hop to the minimal philosophy of techno and the transcendent journeys of trance.

These categories are not rigid territories but are instead fluid spaces that inform and influence one another, constantly pushing my creative boundaries in unexpected directions. By exploring any of these genres, you can see how electronic music continues to evolve and challenge me as an artist.

Acid

Acid is electronic punk rock, a raw and uncompromising sound born in warehouses and defined by the signature squelch of the TB-303. These tracks carry the fury of the original acid house movement, channeling a confrontational energy without polish or compromise. The music is all about the mayhem of a 303 twisted through filters until it screams, with some tracks delivering a relentless assault while others build hypnotic, mind-melting loops.

Breaks

Breaks are built on the foundation of syncopated rhythms, creating a groove that feels less predictable than standard four-on-the-floor patterns. These tracks take that core breakbeat sound and push it forward with contemporary production, while some strip it back to the minimal essentials of just breaks and bass. Working with breaks is about using the natural pockets and stutters within the rhythm, creating a distinct swing and pull.

Some of these pieces build massive arrangements on that syncopated foundation, while others remain sparse to let the breaks carry the track. This is music that moves in a different way, generating groove patterns that create unexpected and compelling rhythms.

Downtempo

Downtempo is my space to slow down and explore the area between the beats, creating everything from deep house grooves to trip-hop influenced pieces and atmospheric illbient soundscapes. Working in slower tempos opens up different possibilities for texture and silence, allowing sounds to develop and evolve without the pressure of constant forward momentum. Some tracks use this extra space for intricate layering and detailed sound design, while others strip everything back to focus entirely on mood and feeling.

Drum & Bass

Drum and bass is where I learned to balance technical precision with raw emotion, creating tracks that span the full spectrum of the genre. This collection includes hard-hitting dancefloor tracks designed for peak energy moments, as well as deeper, more introspective pieces that use the framework for genuine emotional exploration.

The core of drum and bass is the constant tension between relentless breakbeat patterns and the space they create for everything else. That space can be filled with a complex bassline or with atmospheric elements that create a completely different headspace. This collection represents years of working within the 170+ BPM format, discovering how much story can be told when the rhythm never stops driving forward.

Dubstep

Dubstep became my laboratory for sonic extremes, providing a place where restraint can meet raw power in the low-end frequencies. While the genre is often stereotyped, my approach covers everything from meditative bass explorations to high-energy festival tracks. These pieces represent years of pushing sound design to its limits, finding the meeting point of technical precision and emotional impact. Some of these productions go back over a decade, capturing different phases of my personal evolution alongside the genre’s journey from UK garages to a global sound.

Electro

Electro is a foundational sound that connects house, breaks, and much of the electronic music that followed. These tracks use the classic 808-driven sound that defined early movements, while incorporating contemporary production techniques. Working in this genre means respecting the original template of distinctive synth stabs and robotic vocals while finding ways to push the sound forward.

This music bridges decades, diving into the classic warehouse sound. Every track here acknowledges that history while contributing something new to the ongoing conversation.

Happy Hardcore

Happy hardcore translates pure, unfiltered euphoria into sound through a combination of breakbeats, pitched-up vocals, and relentless energy. This is music that is unapologetically joyful and uplifting, cutting through cynicism with its direct emotional impact. The genre demands a fearless commitment to pure feeling, presenting the creative challenge of making something that is both technically complex and emotionally honest. At its core, happy hardcore is about a kind of PLUR innocence.

Hard Dance

Hard dance is one of my favorite genres, a place where I can push energy to its breaking point. Starting from a classic hard house foundation, these pieces explore everything from euphoric, hands-in-the-air moments to the more industrial and uncompromising edges of the sound.

Each track represents a different approach to sustained intensity, with some building slowly into massive payoffs while others hit hard from the very first beat. This is music designed for peak-time moments when the crowd’s energy needs to be matched, not held back.

Hip-Hop

Hip-hop taught me rhythm in a way no other genre could, shaping my entire understanding of music culture from my start as a turntablist. These instrumental tracks are where my electronic production background meets the core elements of hip-hop, including breaks, samples, and the art of the cut.

Working within this tradition means respecting the craft while finding places where my own background can contribute something unique. The beats range from boom-bap influenced pieces to more contemporary approaches, all of which use electronic textures and production to create a distinct sound while honoring the foundation.

House

Built on the eternal four-on-the-floor foundation that Chicago gave the world, house is where electronic music learned to have a soul. These tracks explore everything house can be, from deep, hypnotic grooves that lock you in for the long haul to uplifting, hands-in-the-air moments that capture the genre’s essential joy.

Some pieces stay minimal and spacious to let each element breathe, while others layer complex arrangements without ever losing the essential pulse that makes you move. House taught me that repetition is hypnotic and that the right groove, given time, can be a completely transportive experience. Every track here respects the genre’s roots in community and celebration while pushing those elements forward with contemporary production.
